His Highness the Prince of Al-Qassim approves the urban observatory’s indicators values for Al-Qassim cities for 2020

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Mishaal Bin Saud Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, Chairman of the Urban Observatory Council , chaired today the twelfth meeting of Al-Qassim Urban Observatory Council , in presence of Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Wazzan the Undersecretary of Al-Qassim Emirate, and Eng. Muhammad Al-Majli the Region Secretary and the Urban Observatory Council members.
The urban observatory team presented a visual presentation of the most important achievements in the urban observatory eleventh session, and the urban indicators that were produced specifically to measure the Covid-19 pandemic impact on the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its goals.
During the meeting, His Highness approved the urban indicators that were produced at the region's cities level, which are 260 urban indicators, including 125 global indicators, 75 indicators of the Vision 2030, and 81 local indicators.
In his speech, the Secretary of Al-Qassim Region, and the Observatory Council, explained that Al-Qassim Urban Observatory was keen, during its previous session, to measure the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the urban environment transformations, based on His Highness directives, on the importance of addressing the risks that facing our societies, and The Urban Observatory continues to monitor urbanization by updating its urban indicators yearly.
At the end of the meeting, His Highness, Chairman of the Urban Observatory Council, emphasized the importance of the urban observatory's role in monitoring urban development indicators. His Highness expressed his pride in the observatory’s achievements, and that distinction is evidence the accuracy of the urban observatory information.
